At CrossFit South Park, we’re proud to bring you HYROX Prep Classes, designed for both competitive athletes and fitness enthusiasts alike. This global race blends running and functional fitness in a fast-paced, repeatable format - making every class approachable, measurable, and community-driven.

We’ve designed these sessions to help you build the endurance, strength, and pacing needed for race day – while still fitting seamlessly alongside your regular CrossFit training or other training programs.

  • What is Hyrox?

    The HYROX Format & Training Techniques 

    The race format is identical everywhere in the world, so your progress can be directly compared to official race standards and tracked over time. A HYROX race follows a set sequence:

    Run 1 kilometer, then complete each functional workout station in the following order between these runs:

    Ski Erg (1,000 m) 

    Sled Push (50 m)

    Sled Pull (50 m)

    Burpee Broad Jumps (80 m)

    Rower (1,000 m)

    Farmer’s Carry (200 m)

    Sandbag Walking Lunges (100 m)

    Wallballs (75-100 reps)

    Don’t worry! There are many divisions available to participate in: Open, Professional, Doubles, and Relay. These will determine the weight and amount of work that you take on solo or with partner(s). 

    We practice these movements and many more, training similar stimuli so you’re ready for every push, pull, lunge, and sprint that HYROX throws your way. More importantly, every movement can be scaled to meet each athlete where they are.

    Interval-style training that blends running with functional movements for race-level intensity.

    Strength training for race-ready adaptations

    Duration: 90 min

    Class Type
    Longer-format “mock race” sessions to test your stamina, transitions, and mental game.

    What You’ll Focus On
    Partner workouts that mimic Doubles Race category
